God is seeking for worshippers, those that will worship Him in spirit and in truth. [ ] He longs to spend that intimate time with us. It is amazing that the Almighty God longs for time with us! He is jealous of our time.
Many of us do not even take a good hour to spend with God, and some that have the time do not know what to do for that hour. Here are some suggestions.
You can spend special time in reading, studying, meditating, and worshipping God — acknowledging Him for who He is, not just for what He can do for you. You should not just go to God every time with your list of needs. Instead, go to Him and tell Him how much you love Him. When you worship God He will reward and surprise you.
When it is time to worship you must put away everything from your mind and just focus on God and His goodness. Begin to thank Him for all He has done. Thank Him for the big things, the mid-size things, and the little things He has done. Sing a song to Him. And if you cannot sing, play music that will take you into worship.
Worship is a ministry. It means you are ministering to the Most High God. Every time we worship, God responds. Do you know that the enemy cannot stand to see you worship God? When you worship, he flees from you and your circumstances.
Worship is a secret weapon for breakthrough. You get victory in worship. There are many instances in my life where I did not know what else to do but to worship, and God gave me victory. So I do not pray about my needs, for the God I worship takes care of them.
I encourage you to worship God in every situation of life. In your despair…worship. In your emptiness…worship. In your confusion…worship. In your sorrow…worship. Whatever you are going through, remember to worship God.
God uses our personality for worship. My way of worship may not be your way. You do not have to be like anyone else. Worship in your own way. Depend on the Holy Spirit to teach you.
You may kneel down, prostrate yourself, lift up holy hands, shout, dance…. All that matters is that you have a sincere heart. God looks at your heart.
We were created to worship Him. What are you bringing to God? Will you answer the call and come away?
